identical. The best thing to do is to solve for y on both equations and you will get the familiar y=mx+b. Then you can mentally reason which one is true. If they both have the same exact equation than they are identical lines. If they lines are parallel they will have the same slope (m) but not the same b(y-intercept).. Hope this helps

y-2x=5 5y - 10x = 25 --> divide all terms by 5 --> y - 2x = 5 As you can see above, both equations are equivalent.
