myininaya (myininaya):

pretend we have some units that we call C and another units call D let C=10^4 and D=10^(-2) write 1=1 C/10^4=D/10^(-2) pretend we want to know what 1 D =___??___ C so we need to solve C/10^4=D/10^(-2) for D we do this by multiplying both sides by 10^(-2) so this gives us 10^(-2)*C/10^4=D C/10^6=D so 1 D=1/10^6 C

myininaya (myininaya):

\[1=1\] \[\frac{10^{4}}{10^{4}}=\frac{10^{-2}}{10^{-2}}\] \[\frac{C}{10^4}=\frac{D}{10^{-2}}\] \[10^{-2}\cdot \frac{C}{10^4}=\frac{D}{10^{-2}} \cdot 10^{-2}\] \[\frac{1}{10^2} \cdot \frac{1}{10^4} C= D\] \[\frac{1}{10^{2+4}} C=1 D\] \[\frac{1}{10^6} C=1 D\]
