Guys chemistry group is pretty inacvite and i have not much time... here is the question... You kno many of the elements got their name from something in history, mybe a country, mybe the person who found it, or mythology, so can you give me over 10 examples to them, the element name, and put it into any class : a)Planets, b)Mythology, c)Country, maitland, d)Cities, f)Scientists. :D thanks for help!
there's einsteinium, and curium-- the manmade elements are at the bottom of the period table, right?
Rutherfordium, roentgenium, seaborgium are all names of scientists. Yttrium was named after a city in sweden. Francium is obviously named after france, californium and berkelium after cities in californium, americium and europium after the countries. Plutonium for pluto, uranium for uranus. Niobium and tantalum are named after gods of some mythology i cannot recall. Honestly though, wikipedia has all of this information or links to it if you care to look around a bit.
