I NEED AN ANSWER QUICKLY PLEASE, HELP ME OUT? :( Axel and Morrissey shared some milk in the ratio 2:5. Axel received 300 ml of milk. How much milk was thee together?

hero (hero):

\[\frac{2}{5} = \frac{300}{x}\]

hero (hero):

Morrisey received 750ml

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OH NOW CROSS MULTIPLICATION!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Dont fret when it is cross multiplication :D 2units --> 300ml 7 units --> (7 x 300) ÷ 2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thanks guys! :)

hero (hero):

Where'd you get 7 units from?

hero (hero):

I thought the ratio was 2:5

OpenStudy (anonymous):

when you add then it's 7

OpenStudy (anonymous):

from ratio 2:5 its like a cake you cut it into 7 slices, (7 units) A gets 2 of it M get 5 of it so 2 + 5 = 7? 7 slices/ UNITS in total :)

hero (hero):

Oh 300ml+750ml = 1050ml

hero (hero):

So the total is 1050 ml of milk all together
