1. To measure the liquid permeability of a sample, a core 2 cm in diameter and 5 cm long was used. Brine was flowed through the sample at a flow rate of 1 cm3/sec. If the pressure drop was measured to be 5 x 107 dynes/cm2, a) What is the liquid permeability (assume that the brine viscosity is 1cp)? b) If the Klinkenberg factor is 0.1 psi, what is the gas permeability at a mean pressure of 1 atm abs? c) What will the pressure drop across the core be at a mean pressure of 1 atm. abs., and a gas flow rate of 10 cm3/min measured at the mean pressure? (μ = 0.02cp)
