L(10,14) m(-8,14) find the distandce between the points to the nearest tnth.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[d = \sqrt{(14 - 14)^2 + (-8 - 10)^2}\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you should get 18

k thanks

They need to extend the drawing application to include an xy coordinate plane. By the way, after using the drawing application for a while. I conclude that it absolutely sucks for lack of better words.

lol

OpenStudy (anonymous):

hm, thanks i guess. but the answer is still 18 right?

hero (hero):

Why does it say find it to the nearest tenth? Doesn't that imply that the answer isn't a whole number?

hero (hero):

His answer is correct. If you graph this, you'll notice that the two points have the same y so the distance is horizontally 18 units from either point.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it just says that in case if the other problems come out that way,

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok thanks
