You need to divide the mass (grams in your case) by the volume (cc). 1 cc is equal to one ml which might help you find the density better. So for example: 50 mls of water weighs 50 grams. So 50 grams/ 50 ml = 1g/ml.
Density=mass/volume {so EROS523 is correct}
