Find the probability of rolling a sum of seven with a single toss of two fair six-sided dice.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

How many ways can you roll a seven? In one dice, we have 1 2 3 4 5 6 and on the other one 1 2 3 4 5 6 So we can have (1,6), (2,5), (3,4), (4,3), (5,2), and (6,1). This gives us 6 possible results. The total number of possibilities when rolling two dice is (6 options for first dice) x (6 options for second dice) = 6x6 = 36 So... what do you think the probability should be?

1/6.. lol
