You could use a variety of objects that you have around your home. Yarn, buttons, bottle tops, plastic bottles, string, small pieces of rope, nuts, bolts, plastic ziploc bags, sequins, foil pie plate, jello, etc. Usse your imagination and look around to see what you already have.

ohhhh, you mean make a MODEL of a cell....you could do what the guy above said, or if you want to be REALLY creative, use layers of jello, and yes, i have done it before, and after my science teacher laughed and said i did good, i ate it....yum:)
