If i have inequality |x-2|≤-99 , would I try to solve for {x-2≤-99 and -x+2≥99} or would I try to solve for {x-2≤-99 and x-2≥99} ? OR is it no solution???

OpenStudy (anonymous):

if this really says \[|x-2|\leq -99\] you can stop at step 1, since the absolute value of anything can't be negative

OpenStudy (anonymous):

since it cannot be negative there is no way that it is less than -99, so there is no solution to this inequality
