What is the domain of f(x) = 1/-x - 3

OpenStudy (mef4.0):

If you sub in a -3 for x, you'll get a zero in the denominator. so the domain is all real numbers except for -3 Does that make sense?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes, I got the problem wrong on my homework by saying greater than or equal to -3

OpenStudy (mef4.0):

OK - that's an easy mistake to make - now you'll get it right next time

Thank you!

you're welcome
