that's the whole question? well it depends on how the question is put. If the unknowns are somewhat similar or have values with a known difference, you could denote one unknown with a variable, say x, the the other with an addition of the difference, say x+2 or x+10 or whatever the difference is.

o. then u would just say come up with a variable and write the question say for instance it wasto join the gym halle must pay a 75$ enrollment fee and 32$ per month. write a algebraic expression to represeant the total cost of m months including the enrollment fee. (I think)
