The radius of the incircle of a triangle is 24 cm and the segments into which one side is divided by the point of contact are 36 cm and 48 cm. Find the lengths of the other sides of the triangle.

Use the fact that the radius makes a right angle with the tangent at the point of contact then you have a right angled triangle to use Pythagoras' theorem on.Here the tangent is the side of the triangle and use the given info about the 36,48 split of that side.
