what would 3^8 divide by 3^3 equal if im simplifying ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

3^5=243

OpenStudy (anonymous):

how do u figure that?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

when exponents are over eachother, such as 3^8 over 3^3, you subtract the lower exponent from the larger exponent, ergo, it equals 3^5 which in turn equals 243
