2x^2+xy-3y^2

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

2x^2+xy-3y^2 2x^2+3xy-2xy-3y^2 (2x^2+3xy)+(-2xy-3y^2) x(2x+3y)+(-2xy-3y^2) x(2x+3y)-y(2x+3y) (x-y)(2x+3y) So 2x^2+xy-3y^2 factors to (x-y)(2x+3y) In other words, 2x^2+xy-3y^2=(x-y)(2x+3y)
