If R(x)=50x- x^2/50 and dx/dt=10, then what is dR/dt at x=375?

Do you know if the right answer is -100?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

nope

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Well, I'll tell you what I did. Using the chain rule: \[dR/dt = d(5x)/dx * dx/dt - d(x ^{2}/50)/dx * dx/dt\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[dR/dt = 5*dx/dt - (2x/50) * dx/dt\] From there you should be able to get it.

ok thanks!
