my question is in a paragraph, describe how to simplify each expression. Like 16 1/2 and square root of 100 . How am I suppose to put these in a paragraph

OpenStudy (gw2011):

The fraction of 1/2 in 16 1/2 can be changed to a decimal of 0.5 which then makes 16 1/2 equal to 16.5. The square root of 100 equals 10 because 10 squared is 100.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

A small variation on what gw wrote re. 16 1/2, fyi: The mixed number 16 1/2 cane written as an improper fraction by rewriting the 16 as 32/16 and then adding the 1/2 to get 33/2.
