Any chance we could have a permanent "Getting Started" category in each group? I consistently see the same questions over & over from beginners in the MIT 6.0 comp. programming class, like: "How do I download the course material?" "How go I get graded?" (my favorite) "I can't get Python to run properly." "Why won't raw_input() work?" It would be greatly efficient for all to have those questions permanently answered and easily accessible for the constant stream of newcomers. Maybe if it receives X votes as a "getting started" question, it would get sent to this permanent spot.

yeah...i suggested a FAQ for reducing this

Yeah, we hear ya. Time is our master, I'm afraid, but we definitely see how this would be useful :)

"Time is our master"- you mean there is no time to create such an option? If so, what language are you using? Perhaps if you're open-source, I could write a code for that when I'm done with my class... Or do you mean that all questions expire after a certain amount of time? Would that be because you don't have the server space to store permanent threads?
