OpenStudy (anonymous):
in my ubuntu os the openoffice is not opening and i cant create any files or access an existing file... but it shows the w icon in a document file... if opened it opens it with archive manager.... can anyone clear this??

If you are using openOffice, you are probably on an older version of ubuntu, since openOffice was replaced by libreOffice in 11.04. You may want to update Ubuntu, or simply re-install openOffice.
