well,chromosome consists of 40%DNA and 50%of histones!but how can the %of histones b more than the % of DNA?

Histones are comprised of proteins that aid in the wrapping/condensing of the DNA in a cell. Since histone complexes are large groups of proteins, it would make sense that they make up more of a chromosome than DNA.
