so i have to do a more complicated problem with this using matlab but i'm having trouble re-writing the expression:

log(2x+3)

can it be written:

log(2)+log(x)+3?

if not, what do i do about that 3 inside the logarithm?

no, logs dont distribute

you can factor out a 2 maybe but its hard to tell where to go since there are no concrete directions to follow
