what is the derivative of: (t^2 +2) / (t^4 -3t^2 +4)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

can you use the quotient rule for that or is there a better way to solve?

OpenStudy (mimi_x3):

You can use the quotient rule, im doing it atm, it looks kinds hard though xD

OpenStudy (mimi_x3):

kinda*

OpenStudy (anonymous):

haha yeah im at the point after i distributed everything after i plugged in quotient rule, but the simplifying is confusing me at the moment

OpenStudy (mimi_x3):

= 2t(t^4-3t^2+4)-(t^2+2)4t^2-6t / (t^4-3t^2)^2 = -2t^5 - 14t^3 + 20t / (t^4 - 3t^2 +4) = - 2t(t^4 + 7t^2 - 10)/ (t^4 -3t^2 +4)^2
