a wheeled car with a spring-loaded cannon fires a metal ball vertically. if the vertical initial speed of the ball is 5 m/s as the cannon moves horizontally at a speed of .75 m/s. how far from the launch point does the ball fall back into the cannon? what would happen if the cannon were accelerating? pleasssseee help!

well the ball is up in the air for a while while the cannon is moving. They're both moving in the same direction and speed horizontally so the question you're really asking is how far will the cannon move in the time that the ball is up in the air. Step 1: How long does gravity take to decelerate the ball from 5m/s to a velocity of 0m/s? This is the point where the ball stops before it starts to return to earth. It will take twice this time in total to complete the motion because it takes the same amount of time to come back down. Step 2: How for does the cannon move during the motion? Good luck
