i am trying to solve a story problem with a quadratic equation and it is not making sense to me.....x^2-60x-55=0 to find the day the sales of tickets will decline

are you sure this is
\[x^2-60x-55\] ? first of all this in an equation, so it is not clear how setting it equal to zero tells you anything other than the day the ticket sales are zero.
