find the inverse of sqrt(49-x^2)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

-(1)/sqrt(49-x^2)

hrm...some reason..if i solve for x to find f inverse...it came out to be the same answer as the original pretty much so x=sqrt(49-y^2)

hi. i am of the opinion that the inverse does not exist since the function is not bijective(one one onto)....to put it intuitively, if you put in +1 and -1into the inverse calculated by xbbgirl21, you get the same answer, which is contrary to the definition of a function. i hope i'm correct.
