can you help me with integrals?..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i really have to start from the basic like integration formulas..can you teach me how to solve some problems?..

OpenStudy (across):

Actually, the basics of integration are quite involved, in a sense.\[\int_{a}^{b} f(x)dx=\lim_{n\to\infty}\sum_{i=1}^{n}f(c_{i})\Delta x_{i}.\]All this formula is saying is that definite integral is defined as taking the limit of the sum of infinitely small (rectangular) intervals under a curve from a point "a" to a point "b" so as to find the area under the curve within said interval.
