Could someone help me with this problem? Thanks :) A rectangle has an area of 70in^2. The length is 10inches and the width is X inches. Write and solve an equation to find the value of X

OpenStudy (anonymous):

10x = 70 x = 7 ins

OpenStudy (pdoctor):

We know that area (A) is equal to length (l) times width (w) So A=lw We are given A=70in^2 and l=10in So 70 in^2=10 in(x) Or (dividing both sides by 10 inches), x=7in
