OpenStudy (lukecrayonz):

Please help, the wording of this does not make sense to me. My volume = 560. Width=8 Length=14 Height=5 Rewrite the formula using the variable x for the length. Substitute the value of the volume found in step 2 for V and express the width and height of the object in terms of x plus or minus a constant. For example, if the height measurement is 4 inches longer than the length, then the expression for the height will be (x + 4).

hero (hero):

None of that makes any sense. I doubt if anyone can help you

hero (hero):

For one, I don't even see a "step 2"

OpenStudy (lukecrayonz):

Well, it was worth a shot.

OpenStudy (lukecrayonz):

step 2: Apply the formula of a rectangular box (V = lwh) to find the volume of the object. Now suppose you knew the volume of this object and the relation of the length to the width and height, but did not know the length. Rewriting the equation with one variable would result in a polynomial equation that you could solve to find the length.

hero (hero):

No, it means you clearly didn't post everything

hero (hero):

And that proves it. Now post ALL OF IT

OpenStudy (lukecrayonz):

=[

OpenStudy (lukecrayonz):

That is all of it.

OpenStudy (lukecrayonz):

Step one = Find the volume of the box. Which is already done.

hero (hero):

Where's step 0 and step 1. I know you're lying

hero (hero):

Oh, so you admit that there was also a drawing that goes with this. Would have been smart to post that as well.

OpenStudy (lukecrayonz):

No, there is no drawing.

hero (hero):

I refuse to help people who post incomplete questions or bits and pieces of it. When you put your common sense cap back on, repost the question properly.

OpenStudy (lukecrayonz):

k done
