How would you solve the equation log4x=2.5? Totally blanked on this.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

if this is \[\log_4(x)=2.5\] then \[x=4^{2.5}\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It's not, it's just log4x.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

if it is \[\log(4x)=2.5\] then you have to do something else

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok then in that case you have \[4x=10^{2.5}\] and you need a calculator

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[x=10^{2.5}\div4\] whatever that is

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ah, okay. Thanks. ^^
