Help!!! The perimeter of a rectangle is 36cm. the length of the rectangle is 4cm more than its width. find the dimensions.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

7 is the width, 11 is the length.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

how did you figure that out?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

like this.... 2x+2(x+4)=36 (because there are 2 sides of each) 2x+2x+8=36 4x=28 x=7 for the sides. add 4 to them and get 11
