It really depends on what you are trying to do. The first bit of that video you listed, the guy makes a .bat that cycles in a never ending loop, which would cause ram to get locked up... but yeah... you need to be a bit more specific.

With no programming experience, you can mess up your own system fairly easily if you get duped by online information, or miscode something and don't know ways of fixing it. That said, I'd suggest learning some useful programing language and once you have a handle on it go back to your virus plots :P
