Fun Fact #49: Getting back to giant jellyfish, let me tell you about the fried egg jellyfish. This jelly has a bell of around 60 cm and its tentacles can reach up to 6meters. It may be big but it's stingers don't do much harm. They are so weak that other organisms hang out on its bell and steal food from its oral arms and tentacles (fast food right?). In one study they found 326 young individuals of brachyuran crab (Cancer gracilis) on one jellyfish and a maximum of 446 Hyperia medusarum riding.
