Sedimentary rock is a type of rock that is formed by sedimentation of material at the Earth's surface and within bodies of water. My science teacher showed us an experiment by putting water and rocks in a bottle. Then shake the bottle for about a week and a half. At the end pour out the water and leave the rocks. Look at how the rocks were broken into tiny pieces.
