or u can always do this way: -5 = 2 + x --> - 5 - 2 = 2 + x - 2 --> -7 = x --> x = -7 --> :P

i do have a problem here that im a lil confused on.
it says to solve the following equation.....
3x+2x=12+8

3x+2x=12+8 --> 5x=20 --> 5x/5=20/5 --> x=4 -->ans:)

always double check. plug the answe into the original equastion. make it a habit. it will help you know if you got a problem right
