Since viruses don't have cytosol, how is the DNA within the protein capsid kept from reacting with the proteins around it? How is viral DNA packed and present within the Capsid?

the capsid prevents the DNA from interacting with the surrounding, unless the virus binds a "substrate", the DNA doesnt get out.
