What does the golgi apparatus do?

OpenStudy (nebi):

The Golgi apparatus is the distribution and shipping department for the cell's chemical products. It is a special organell found in the cytoplasm of the eukaryotic cell, it functions in the modification of proteins after they are synthesized. It modifies proteins and fats built in the endoplasmic reticulum and prepares them for export as outside of the cell.
