Completing square with steps!!! PLEASE. -0.035x^2 + 1.4x+6 = 0
the step is simply; half the coeff of the x term and square it
1.4/2 = .7, ^2 = .49
then?
others said me to divide the whole equation by -0.035
then add and subtract that amount into the equation

yeah, you have to factor off the leading coeff first ...

its not that it difficult, its just messy
I just want to put it in completing square form, the answer is: -(0.035) (x - 20)² + 20
