8 factorial over quantity 4 factorial times 4 factorial A. 1 B. 70 C. 2!/4! D. 700

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[8!/4!4!\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so do i have to multiply together

OpenStudy (rhystic):

sorry that was wrong I misread

OpenStudy (rhystic):

you would have 8!/4!^2 = 70

OpenStudy (rhystic):

clarification: (8*7*6*5)/(4*3*2*1) = 70 full clarification: (8*7*6*5*4*3*2*1)/ [(4*3*2*1)(4*3*2*1)] so you can cancel out one set of 4! on bottom and take out the 4*3*2*1 on top leaving (8*7*6*5)/(4*3*2*1)
