put a 1 under the whole #
so if it was... 4 x 1/3 you would do.. 4/1 x 1/3
then find a common denominator
i dont get it , because the problem is , 3 1/5 (2/3) =

so , how would i put a 1 under the whole number ?
3 1/5 is a mixed fraction so what you do is times 3 by 5 then put over 5 which equals 15/5 then add the 1/5 to get 16/5 then times that by 2/3 which equals 32/15
then 32/15 = 2 and 2/15?
no then you have to take the whole number out of the fraction so 32/15= 2 2/15
okay , so now what is this was the problem , -4 ( 2 1/6 ) =
