a. What is the overall gain (or loss) from all seven plays?
b. What is the average gain (or loss) per play

A. 7+2-5-12+16+8-8 = 8 so you have an 8 yard gain
B. there are 7 plays, so 8/7 = approx 1.14 yards / play .
