OpenStudy (tcp2315):

whats a good variable to test that affects the rate at which dominos fall?

OpenStudy (unklerhaukus):

the surface the dominoes are on, for example; carpet, wood, concrete

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The altitude. This may due to gravity.

OpenStudy (tcp2315):

thanks, but i cant do the altitude one since i have to complete it in a highschool lab, in about an hour, the surface one intrigues me. i assume distance would also be a key factor?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Well, I supposed distance you meant is the distance apart between two consecutive dominos right? Then it would affect the rate of which dominos fall as the angular displacement travelled by individual domino will be comparatively less(less time taken for collision and between collisions).
