Two runners run an 8km race. The first runner runs at 11.2km/h and the other at 15km/h how far away is the slower runner by the time the faster one finishes?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

d=rt

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So the faster runner finishes in 8/15 hr

OpenStudy (anonymous):

In this time the slower runner goes a distance of 11.2 x (8/15) = 5.97km

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Therefore the slower runner is still 8 -5.97 = 2.03km away
