describe a pattern you see in your list that you can use to determine weather a large number such as 1,276,549 is divisible by 5

OpenStudy (amistre64):

i dont have a list do i

OpenStudy (amistre64):

but if i did, im sure i would be able to notice that if a number that is a multiple of 5 ends in either a 5 or a 0

OpenStudy (tcp2315):

^ what he said, only numbers that end in a 5 or 0 will divide by 5

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the list is 50,45,40,35,30,25,20,15,10,5

OpenStudy (amistre64):

lol .. somehow i knew it would be ;)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

wats the answer?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

If a number ends with 5 or 0, it is divisible by 5. If not, it's not.

OpenStudy (amistre64):

the problem with having other people do the thinking for you is; that when you actually get an answer you havent the wherewithal to know that youve actually gotten it.
