what is the relationship between exponents and logarithms? how would you distinguish between the two, using both a graph and a sequence?

the logarithm is the inverse of the exponential. When the question is 2 to the 3rd is what number, that's an exponential function. When the question is 2 to what power is 8, that's a logarithm. it is like the relationship between squaring and square rooting.

\[2^{3} = 8\] vs \[\log_{2}8 = 3 \] The answer of a log is the exponent
