how big is a nucleus?

OpenStudy (kira_yamato):

A cell's nucleus can vary in size greatly, depending on the species, type of cell, and it's growth stage. Cells can only really be seen with microscopes. A nucleus is often the first structure visible in a cell as it is often the largest. Sometimes it appears to take up almost half of the apparent surface area of a cell. Sometimes it appears to take up less than ten percent. They can also be 0.003 mm.
