Give 3 examples of law of inertia

OpenStudy (anonymous):

1. A vehicle moving along a road comes to a stop due to frictional force acting on it. If there were no friction, it would keep moving and not stop. 2. When a ball is thrown into the air it comes to a stop only when someone exerts a force to catch it(in such cases you have no other choice but to ignore friction with air when the ball is moving and also gravity which may also stop the ball). 3. A car moving along a road cannot change direction by itself unless the driver exerts a force and turns the steering wheel of the car.
