The coordinates of an object moving in the xy plane vary with time according to the equations x = −7.28 sin ωt and y = 4.00 − 7.28 cos ωt, where ω is a constant, x and y are in meters, and t is in seconds.

What then is the question? So far you have only given data.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

find dx/dt, dy/dt or dy/dx such that dx/dy=dy/dx? Just what is the question?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I don't think dy/dx makes alot of sense. If we try to differentiate y = 4 - 7.28 cos wt with respect to x, we would just get 0 becuase there is no x.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It does make sense because dy/dx = 0 because there's no x.

I agree that it is mathematically doable, I just don't see a point for dy/dx or dx/dy. Regardless, we can't really do anything without an actual question.
