pyruvate; NADH; ATP Glycolysis is the conversion of glucose to two molecules of pyruvate, yielding a net 2 ATP and 2 NADH. Recall that 2 ATP were needed to initiate glycolysis and 4 ATP were produced in the pathway, for a net gain of 2 ATP.
glucose (6c) ((an ATP is used and converted into ADP)) ---> Glucose 6-phosphate ---> fructose 6-phosphate ((another ATP is ued and converted to ADP)) ---> fructose 1-6 Di phosphate ---> 2 PGAL (( 4 ADP + 4P --> 4ATP )) (( 2 NAD --> 2 NADH )) ----> 2 puvaric acid a . aneaerobic respiration --> 2 lactic acid +2 ethyle alc. + 2 carbon dioxide b. aerobic respiration --> kerbs cycle
