OpenStudy (anonymous):

do not understand how to figure it out

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Like tutordiffeq said, you have to factor the first fraction. Do you know how to factor those polynomials?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Do you know how to multiply things like (x-3)(x+5)?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no im new to this

OpenStudy (anonymous):

They can't have asked you to factor a polynomial without already teaching you how to multiply two terms like that.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

|dw:1318047200028:dw|Use the FOIL method (First, Outer, Inner, Last). You multiply each of those things together and add them up. Do that with (x-3)(x+5) and post what you get and I'll tell you if you're right.
