What is the problem if half-life is too long?

When the buildings/rooms are broken down, the radioactive element won't have run out and so the element will be in concentrated amounts, this is a health problem for the community surrounding the waste yard where the radioactive substance is due to the alpha and beta particles being in the air and the increase in background radiation within that area. Increases risk of cancer.

Hahaha lol! As if. I actually laughed when i read that. Says the girl who got A* and As last yr. MA. I haven't started mine yet, well, I did. But I didn't understand it properly. So I'm going to look through my notes and try again. Tomorrow is physics day for me. InshaAllah I'm gettin up early and revising for resit, then going to attempt the coursework again.
